Portofino Bay Hotel Audio Control & Management
Our team recently upgraded the audio control system at Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando, built on the QSC Q-SYS platform. It now covers the entire hotel, including 3 pools, 21 ballrooms, and 9 restaurants and all public spaces. We customized the system with programming that simplifies sound management for staff. Now, any hotel employee can easily adjust sound levels across different areas.
We also developed a custom iPad interface, designed specifically for Portofino Bay. This in-house programmed interface allows staff to control audio from anywhere on the property. The iPad’s user-friendly design streamlines the process and improves efficiency.
The system includes role-based access, giving the right team members the right controls. Management has full access to the entire audio system, from the pool to the ballrooms. Meanwhile, other staff have permissions based on their responsibilities. For example, poolside staff can manage sound levels in their area, and lobby staff can control audio in the reception space.
This automation and security make sound control simple and efficient for everyone. Management can fine-tune audio, while staff quickly adjust sound to create the perfect atmosphere. The system has proven to be a valuable asset, whether setting the right tone for events or maintaining the pool’s relaxing ambiance.
